Lorraine A. - Hand Surgery Patient
Lorraine is a mature woman with longstanding progressive, systemic arthritis and several other medical problems who Dr. Peimer began to treat for significant bilateral hand and finger deformities in October 2006.
Evaluation revealed her arthritis had caused dislocations and instability of multiple finger and thumb joints, making pinch, grasp and manipulation progressively more difficult, awkward and uncomfortable.
Lorraine has since had several surgical procedures to realign, stabilize and "fuse" finger and thumb joints. Additional skin deformities have been corrected simultaneously.
She has been a marvelous patient, careful at protection and meticulous with her therapy instructions, and this—along with patience—has enabled her to make a significant positive recovery and improvement.
